good evening doctor i chew gutkha regulerly 2 years before. from 2 years i stop chewing gutkha because my mouth not opening properly i counsult dental doctor and he has given LYCOSTAR soft gel capsules was it ok to take this capsule regularly . will my mouth open after taking this capsule . or any other form of medicine is there please suggest me.iam eagerly waiting to eat gupchup.

Hello,

The lycostar capsules will not reduce infection in the mouth. According to the features that you are presenting suggests you are suffering from oral submucous fibrosis. Consult an oral physician and get it diagnosed. Once it is diagnosed you can take antioxidants like lycopene for one month.

You should quit the habit. Later you can go for intralesional injection with steroids and hyaluronidase biweekly for six to eight weeks. If the injections do not increase the mouth opening, then you have to get it operated surgically.

Hello,

Lycostar doesn't reduce inflammation, but it helps you towards recovery by degrading fibrous bands that formed inside your mouth. It's safe to take it regularly. In addition to that, you can take vitamin B tablets. And topically use because of ointment. You should also do mouth opening exercises regularly.
