Does Macrobid Cause Severe Momentary Muscle Fatigue?
I was diagnosed with a UTI which was not susceptable to Bactrim. Macrobid was prescribed and I have completed the full 7 day course. After beginning this drug, I experienced severe momentary muscle fatigue with movement which goes away in about 5 seconds. I cannot find any research on this type of reaction?

General tiredness and weakness is a rare side effect of Macrobid ( Nitrofurantoin) but it does not go away in five seconds.
So your symptom is unlikely to be due to a Macrobid side effect.
