Does Meftal Spas Have Any Side Effects?
i , I am 27 year old lady Unmarried from beginning of my periods i had pain problem . My cycle is on time & normal but i get severe pain in the lower abdomen & back also becoz of that i can t do any work & i am taking meftal spas 2 -3 tablet in a day. So i just want to know that there is any side effect for this medicines i am taking this medicine since 4 years. is it safe ?

I appreciate your concern.
it contains an antispasmodic and a NSAID. Prolonged consistant use of both meds is not recommended. Nsaids may cause ulceration, kidney disfunction, lfts elevation esp in patients with pre existing impairment. dicyclomine is contraindicated in
Closed-angle glaucoma
Myasthenia gravis
Hemorrhage with cardiovascular instability
Paralytic ileus
Breast feeding
Intestinal atony of elderly/debilitated patients
Toxic megacolon
GI obstruction
Obstructive uropathy

Analgesic medicines are not good for health in my opinion you need to stop this tab, from the history given here I could say that the pain that you are having since years at the time of menses could be dysmenorrhea and this does not need any treatment if one can bear this, in menarche this may need analgesic but in later days this pain does not need any medicine, hope this information helps you.
