Hi I am Farha 35 yr old lady and married since 11 yrs but having no child. Presently i have consulted a gynecologist and started IUI treatment, I am on Menogon75 injections for four days starting from yesterday but . suddenly i started spotting blood today after I had my first injection yesterday . Its eighth day of my periods and its quite unusual for me to feel spotting I never in my life had this spotting coming on my eighth day of periods. Is it due to Menogon? Is is safe and should I continue further taking Menogon for three more days?? Please reply
Menogen contains menotropin hormone and it works by facilitating the maturation of follicles in the ovaries which contains the eggs. This helps treat female infertility due to improper egg production (anovulation). Spotting may occur with the drug but the injection should not be stopped. Continue the injection and check your estradiol and LH levels to check for ovulation.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
