I have been on naturethyroid 97.5 mg daily for about two years. Last year I had pneumonia and I drop some weight and for the last 3 to 4 months I have been increasingly getting dizzy and feeling off balance. I am now not sleeping at night at all very little. But I noticed that the dizziness starts right after I take the nature. Could it be related

Internal Medicine Specialist, Dr. Malik's Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Nature-Throid 97.5mg is used to treat underactive thyroid gland. Your symptoms are suggestive of hyperthyroid state (extra thyroid hormones in the blood). Your thyroid function should be assessed for the response to the treatment every 2 months after the treatment until TSH and T4 levels come to the normal range. When normal range of the TSH and T4 is achieved you should be checked annually TSH and T4 levels. Please, make an appointment with your doctor and get TSH and T4 levels checked.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Thank you, Malik Amonov MD
