Does Nexplanon Implant Cause Itchy Spots All Over The Body?

I have been on Nexplanon for 3 months i and after the first month I started itching really bad and getting spots all over my body and I have not stopped itching. I have not changed any of my foods, laundry soap, body wash, or started any new meds. The itching is worse in the early morning when I wake up and in the evening before I go to bed. It s worse on my chest, neck, stomach, both arms, and upper legs, but I have gotten spots on most parts of my body. I don t know what else this could be from.

Hello,

It may be an allergic reaction to implant. You can take antihistamines like Pheneramine for symptomatic relief. You can apply calamine lotion also. If symptoms persist for long, the implant has to be removed and re inserted.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
