Does Norflex Cause Facial Rash And Swollen Tongue?

I experienced a previous allergic reaction to Flexeril. My doctor has now prescribed me 100 mg of orphenadrine (Norflex). I have taken 1 tab, and now have a facial rash & slightly swollen tongue. I have taken 2 OTC Benadryl. Are these 2 muscle relaxers from the same drug family?

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

These drugs are not in the same drug family so this means that you are allergic to 2 different types of muscle relaxants.

The benadryl should help to reduce the reaction.

You would need to inform your doctor that you are also allergic to this medication.

I hope this helps
