iam a 30 yr old married woman. I was Diagnose with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus when i was 16 yrs. Right now i am taking Omnacortil 10mg on alternate days. I have been missing my periods for last 8 months. I am worried. do advise. Is the medication that iam taking having any side effects????
Omnacortil is a corticosteroid commonly prescribed to treat various autoimmune diseases such as lupus and other conditions. Its common side effects include dyspepsia, stomach acidity or ulcer, bleeding, fragile skin, thinning of the bones, increased blood sugar, high blood pressure, mood changes, increased facial hair growth, increased risk of infection and delayed menstruation.
Advised to consult a gynecologist for further evaluation for delayed period.
