Does Ornidazole Cause Side Effects?

hiim experiencing a few problems for the last few days. I feel tired, agitation, slight pain in the lower back, sleep disturbance. I was abroad and doctors diagnosed a conduloma acuminata - which I am healing right now. However, the initial issue was that I received intravenous drugs (namely Ornidazole) and tablets of aciclovir. This happened due to a wrong diagnosis. Could these effects (the tiredness, agitation etc.)be reasons of this administartion of these drugs

Hello! Ornidazole has many nervous system side effects like drowsiness, tiredness, headache, dizziness, tremor, poor coordination, rarely insomnia, epilepsy, loss of consciousness. It also has other side effects, more common are nause, taste disorder, liver impairment.
Acyclovir when used orally can rarely, less then in 1% of cases, give agitation, dizziness and fatigue.
Anyway, the effects of these drugs are experienced during the time the drug is used or some days after, since the blood levels decrease drastically after the discontinuation. Maybe you should check again these symptoms with the doctor that is treating you.
