Hello doctor..i have 9 month old son..i used to get my periods on time..but this month it is already 6 days delayed to the due period date..iam afraid that I may be pregnant..my health currently does not support me to bear pregnancy..what should I do..does taking ovuloc ld help me now?
First of all, do not panic. If you have already crossed your expected date of menses and if you are suspecting pregnancy, I will suggest you get morning's first sample of urine tested for pregnancy. In case of any doubt blood, beta HCG test and USG will be of help. If you are not pregnant, then please seek prescription support from your treating doctor for tablet Regestrone twice a day for five days. Withdrawal bleeding occurs in three to ten days after finishing the tablets.
Once you get your periods, you can start oral contraceptive pills like Ovuloc LD, or Ovral L, from the second day of menses. You should take the pills regularly for 21 days then restart them after a gap of 7 days. It will help to regulate your cycles and prevent unwanted pregnancy.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
