Does Plavix Have Adverse Side Effects?

Just had a meeting with a new family doc yesterday, He prescribes Plavix. I asked what are the side effects because I am so sensitive to most medications,. I take no prescription at this time, just 2 baby aspirins before bed. The doc said there are no side efects????????I just researched ask a patient and find the side effects are horrendous!!!!!

All medicines have potential side effects. Not everyone will experience them. There are few ways to know ahead of time if they will be helpful or cause side effects. If you read the side effects listed for most medicines, most will be horrendous because they have to list every possibility. But most people do not experience them. I am surprised your doctor said there are no side effects with Plavix. What was he prescribing it for? If you were taking aspirin for your heart, you should take one or the other but not both. This can aggravate the side effects. In your case, I would suggest you stick to the aspirin for now and see another doctor for a second opinion. Hope this helps.
