Does Postinor 2 Terminate Pregnancy?

Hi m 28 years old , married ... and I was expecting my periods on 30th of january 2014. But I missed it... on 31st of january I did pregnancy test it was negative.... and on 5th of February 2014 I did again a pregnacy test it was positiv3... can I take postinor 2 to terminate my pregnancy.....

Understand your concern
Postinor 2 is emergency contraception pill and it will work if taken with in 72 hour of unprotected sexual intercourse. It inhibit the ovulation and fertilization process. So it does not cause abortion.
Best and safe medicine for abortion is mifepristone plus misoprostol. But it should be taken under supervision of gynecologist because home use can cause serious complication that require special attention and treatment.
Usg should be done before abortion and also after abortion (at 14th day) to confirm retain abortion process.
So consult the gynecologist and take opinion to terminate pregnancy.
