Does Primolut-N Prevent The Ovulation During A Menstrual Cycle?
Hi doctor, I took clomid for 5 days starting from the CD2 to help me ovulate because i want to get pregnant. My menses started on the 26th august and its still on till date making it 7days of continous flow (not heavy flow). I usually have 4-5days flow and worried that this time it is running into 7days and more. I am considering taking primulot n to stop the bledding, please i would like to know if priimulot n prevents/inhibits ovulation? N/B: I have PCOS and started taking fertilaid for women which restored my menses and it came on its own without induction
Yes, you can take Primolut N in case of heavy bleeding. Primolut N delays the onset of periods and controls abnormal uterine bleeding. It prevents ovulation as it has contraceptive effects due to negative feedback inhibition of pituitary gonadotropin.
You are advised to get clinically examined and evaluated by a gynecologist, get all required blood tests and investigations done. Get treated for PCOS, untreated PCOS often leads to infertility. Maintain healthy weight, do regular exercises and walking. Take home-made food rich in iron and protein.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
