Does Pristiq Prescription Determine Depression ?

My girlfriend (62) just came home from her MD with a prescription for Pristiq. A quick quiz prompted the determination of depression and medication. It is not an unreasonable diagnosis (long story). I live with depression, and have experiences with several medication. I am just transition OFF Pristiq and starting Fetzima, so I am very familiar. My girlfriend is not happy with her doctor, and will change MD s as soon as her signup for Obamacare is complete. In my experience, my doctor would not even consider prescribing anti-depressants. She wanted me to see a psychiatrist (which I did/do) and get the prescription there. I am (we are) very skeptical of jumping into Pristiq, specifically, after only a quick quiz from a doctor who is about to be her former doctor. Your thoughts,,,

I can understand your problem, if one doctor diagnosed the disease then this is hardly can be challenged, it is up to the patient whether to accept it or not, if patient not satisfied with the diagnosis or treatment, patient have a right to go for second, third opinion , here you can do the same., hope this information helps you, take care and have nice day.
