Hi I m almost 50 yrs old suffering of uterine fibroids, my doctor recommend progyluton as a temporary remedy to relief pain and the suffer of migraines and heavy periods, my question: Is how long can I take this medicine to relief pain? and I need to know if Progyluton would shrink the fibroids, thank you so much for your time. Best regards. Mrs Lopez.
Progyluton is a hormonal therapy drug that will help to reduce your symptoms as you already know and can be used for as long as you have the symptoms. It will most certainly help in restricting progression of the fibroid, but how much it can contribute to the shrinking of the fibroid is arguable.
You could keep monitoring the size of the fibroid every 6 months through ultrasound examinations to see if there is infact a change in size.
Hope this helps.
Best wishes.
