I was diagnosed by PCOD excatly 2 yeras ago. I was asked to use yamini tablet for 6 months with which my period got regular. I lost weight and everything was normal untill last month. But now again my period has become irregular, I mean only this month. My doctor advised me to take regesteron 5mg , 3 times a day for 3 days and wait for my period, But my question is did the pcos come back because i put on weight now? Now that i am planning to have kids is it possible for me to conceive? Will regesteron help regulating my period? Or do i have to go back to birth control pills again?
Yes, Regesterone will help to regularize your periods. You need to take a pelvic scan for PCOS since it's a very long gap since you had your last scan. Simultaneously you can also get treated for pregnancy. Thus, before planning pregnancy you need to take pelvic scan and hormonal tests and also your partner need to investigate for some analysis.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
