Does Regestrone Medication Has Side Effects?

I had heavy bleeding more than 25 days then i consult gynaecologist .she provide me regestrone 5mg twice a day for 20 days.but its still bleeding lightly ,weight gain,stomach pain and breast enlarged...how i prevent these side effects.can you please consult me ?

I understand your concern.
* The weight gain/ stomach pain & breast enlargement are side effects of Progesteron, the hormone in Regestrone.They are to be managed by lifestyle changes
* I feel you need investigations to find the cause of bleeding & then start with treatment.
It can be due to menopausal age hormonal disturbance, Fibroid uterus, FUH , Bleeding & clotting time disorder, endometriosis etc.
You need investigations like CBC/ bleeding,clotting time/USG abdomen/ Hormonal assay To detect the cause Each cause has it's specific treatment.
Consult expert gynecologist for assessment of physical examination & investigation reports.
