Does Retinol Stay In The Body After Stopping Its Application?

Hi, I have been using a low strength topical retinol serum for 5 months but I brought me out is hundreds of tiny flesh coloured bumps under my skin. This didn’t get any better over time so I eventually stopped the retinol! It’s been a week and the bumps are still there , they don’t seem to be going!? Does retinol stay in your system once stopped applying? And if so how long before my skin will return to normal. Thank you

It all depends upon your skin sensitivity and response it may take long time for positive or negative response, here in your case beside the allergic reaction infection need to be ruled out first or antibiotic can be tried on tentative basis, how much the ingredient is active in system that decide the elimination of it, again the body response plays great role.
