I just started with my first dose of Rhopressa last night and have very red eyes. I looked this up and it seems to be a common side effect, but it doesn t give information on whether or not the eye adjusts and the redness eventually goes away. This is really an embarrassing look.
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
This is a new antiglaucoma drug and all antiglaucoma drugs containing Timolol can cause redness as a side effect. You have to talk to your ophthalmologist and ask if your drug can be changed. Changing a drug without checking your prescribed medication properly would be dangerous.
Hope it helps.
