Does Risperidone Affect The Vision?

My son s dose of risperidone was recently increased. He is involved with Special Olympics track and field, and we ve noticed when he s inside on the track, the fluorescent lighting is affecting his eyes. He s constantly looking up and his eyes roll back. Could this be from the increase?

Risperidone doesn't cause any visual disturbances and doesn't affect the eyes. His eyes are sensitive to light and can be termed as photophobia. Consult an ophthalmologist and get evaluated. As of now you can try Methylcellulose drops for symptomatic relief.
