Does St. John S Wort Interact With Excedrin And Aleve?
Hi, I m wondering about the use of St John s Wort for mild depression. Also, I am wondering if there are interactions. I am specifically wondering if any of the other things I take daily might be a problem. I take a daily Cacium pill and a daily multi vitamin. Also, are there interactions with such things as Excedrin, Aleve or Novacaine ( since I need a filling replaced)??
St. Johns Wort is a herbal supplement that is used commonly in mild anxiety like states. The main actions are improving anxiety but in some cases this is found to be useful in mild depression too. You can take this for mild depression but symptoms don't improve then you have to consult a psychiatrist for help. SSRIs are commonly used medicines for depression.
You can take Calcium or Multivitamin without any worries. With Excedrine or Novacaine the drug should be used cautiously. Discuss with your doctor for detailed treatment.
Thanks, Take care
