Does Taxim-o Medication Cause Any Side Effects?

I am taking Taxim-o 200mg tablets two times (BD) a day on prescription by my doctor for last 5 days- I am feeling following side effects: This medicine is prescribed for seven. 1.Drowiness 2.Flatulence in stomach (lot of gas formation) This medicine is prescribed along with Silodal-D4 for treatment Prostrate (BHP). I am also taking following medicines for Heart after surgery for the last 4 years: 1.Ceruvin A-75 capcule OD 2.Metalar XR 25 Cap. OD 3.Storvas 10mg Please guide Kulwant Singh Purba YYYY@YYYY 91-0000

Hi,

Thank you for your query. I can understand your concerns.
Taxim-o (Cefixime -cephalosporin antibiotic) has following side effects:
GI (gastro-intestinal): Nausea; vomiting; diarrhea; anorexia; abdominal pain or cramps; flatulence;Less serious side effects may include drowsiness.
Silodal-D4-contains silodosin -α1-adrenoceptor antagonist, prescribed for benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) does not cause drowsiness .
Ceruvin-A Clopidogrel 75 mg, Aspirin 75 mg, Metalar XR (Metoprolol) & Storvas-none of these drugs cause drowsiness .
