If the emergency contraceptive pill is taken within the stipulated time interval after the unprotected intercourse, the cycle is well protected and the chances of pregnancy are very little. I would like to know when the bleeding started, if she is going through her natural period or if she is experiencing breakthrough bleeding. Please remember that ovulation occurs two weeks prior to the onset of the next period and it is when pregnancy can happen. Please wait for the next natural period and consult a specialist for further management if she becomes overdue by ten days.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
