Does Utovlan Help Reduce Excessive Menstrual Bleeding?

My period usually lasts for 8 days, can I take utovlan half way through my period to stop the bleeding early? I am set to go on holiday on Wednesday and today is Sunday. I am 21, no medical history problems, I also have a copper contraceptive coil in place.

Utovlan tablets contain the active ingredient 'norethisterone', which is a synthetic version of the naturally-occurring hormone, progesterone. It is used in a wide range of menstrual disorders.
Utovlan is used for treating:
1. Menstrual disorders such as painful periods (dysmenorrhoea), heavy menstrual bleeding (menorrhagia), irregular periods, continuous, heavy menstrual bleeding or premenstrual syndrome.
2. Endometriosis.
3. Delaying your menstrual period.
for postponement of menstruation, you need to take 1 tablet three times daily, starting three days before the expected onset of menstruation. Menstruation usually follows within three days of finishing the treatment.
