Does Veet Hair Removal Cream Cause Blisters And Redness In The Vaginal Area?
Hi I have been using Veet on my pubic area for years. I know that it is a strong chemical..and now I seem to be feeling the effects of it. Months ago I had a little bump that grew larger and painful.. after about a week it burst and pus came out. I NEVER had one like that before.. now I have another after using veet again.. this is on my labia. ( I have been using it there also ).. I think this is a wake up call. I can hardly sit straight. It is painful and growing and have not come to a head as yet.. any suggestions? I am thinking of sitting in my bath tub with warm water and epsom salt???
I would keep a possibility of bacterial infection of the hair follicle/furuncle.
I would suggest that you get a prescription for an oral antibiotic from your local care practitioner(my choice would have been penicillin group of drug e.g Amoxycillin).
An OTC antibacterial e.g 2% mupirocin twice daily can be applied over the area of infection/bump.
An OTC pain killer once or twice daily would help you symptomatically.
Sitz Bath with epsom salt in warm water would definitely give you relief from the pain and discomfort and is recommended here.
regards
