Vesoret is an antioxidant that is used to treat Age-related Macular Degeneration (AMD), and which claims to prevent cataracts. On this last subject, there are no studies that would support this claim. In any case, since you're after cataract extraction surgery, there would be no point in taking this tablets to prevent a cataract (which was already removed from the eye).
Whether you should take Vesoret or not, would require a dilated fundus examination to see if there are any changes suggestive of AMD. As well, given that there are many causes of blurry vision in one eye after cataract surgery, it would be best to be evaluated by the surgeon who did the procedure. He could also tell you if you need to take Vesoret.
