Does Vitamin D Taken With Secondary Hyperparathyroidism Cause Joint Pains?

My doctor said i have secondary hyperparathyroidism (though, others are convinced it's primary). I've been put on vitamin d. Since I started it, I've gotten a lot worse (weak, fatigue, bone pain, nausea, headache, etc). Everytime I move, my joints snap and creak. Should this be happening?

Hello,
Thank you for asking on HCM!
If hyperparathyroidism is supposed to be due to Vit D deficiency
, than parathormone does not reach very high levels, as in primary hyperparathyroidism. Anyway, you should check PTH after a period of 2 months treatment with vit D.
If it is longstanding hyperparathyroidism it may cause osteoporosis and joint problems.
