Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My husband and I are trying for baby #2 but no luck and its been almost 8 months of trying. I know it can take a year + to conceive, but with baby # 1 it was so easy...we were pregnant within 2 months of trying. We are both 32 years old and primarily healthy. Husband is on warfarin due to a leg cot in a superficial leg vein.....could this medication effect sperm count?
Warfarin has been reported to affect sperm count adversely and so that could indeed be a cause. Get his semen analysis done to be sure of the current status. Aslo give him zinc supplements like Cobadex CZS or Becosule Z along with folic acid (folvite) regularly as that has been proven to increase the sperm count and also sperm motility.
