Hi dr. Saab, actually my mom is taking zurig80, Vit. D, Ca inhalor,and pain. Killer on d serum report on account of severe weakness. She has. Been taking medicine. For 2 days....but yet not able to recover weakness...does. Any medicine. Has side effect. ...pl,advice

Zurig 80 tablet belongs to a class of medications called 'xanthine oxidase inhibitors'. It works by decreasing the amount of uric acid in the body and thereby preventing gout attacks.
It is used to treat painful joint condition (gout) and increased blood uric acid levels (hyperuricemia).
Common side effects associated with its intake include: Elevated Liver enzymes, Acne-like rash, Joint pain, Chest pain, Dizziness, Shortness of breath, Nausea, Difficulty in speech, Weakness and Numbness of extremities.
Kindly take the medication as prescribed by your doctor. Seek medical attention promptly if the side effects caused becomes bothersome.
