Does A Clogged Red Pore On Breast Need Investigation?
I had a clogged pore on my breast that became inflamed. I thought there was a head on it, so I squeezed it. In the process, the skin broke and it began to bleed. The skin around the clogged pore is now raised and the clogged pore is red. Is there any reason to worry?
The persistent redness is due to inflammation. Apply Mupirocin ointment twice daily and keep the area clean. If no improvement is noticed in 2 days, follow up with your primary care provider to see the need for oral antibiotics.
