I had a hysterectomy kept the ovaries in 2016 I did have prexsisting anxiety and panic attacks that I hid from everyone foe many years. After the hysterectomy everything got so bad I isolated myself from everyone and I rarely leave the house for fear of being around people. I had to get help I am currently being treated for anxiety social anxiety panic attacks depresion and ptsd. I recently found an article online it was a study that said it could be a connection with mental health after Hysterectomy the main risk factors were the prexsisting mental health issues and sexual assault. I had both. My therapist also read the report and agrees it could be some thing to look into more. I am currently taking 100mg Zoloft and 1mg 3x daily also cbc oil a few times a day. Have you ever heard of any posible connections between them? I am seeing on hysterectomy blogs other wemon are also struggling with mental health issues and there and a few studies online that I have found. But it doesn t seem to be something that has been really researched. My OBGYN said it s very rare to have issue when the ovaries are left in and blew it off. But after that surgury there was a drastic change in me. I have not been able to work in almost 2 years. I can t even take my kids to the park anymore unless no one else is there. I would greatly appreciate any info that would lead me to some answers. Thank you so much.
