Does A Swollen Eyelid, Redness And Itchiness Indicate A Stye?
i woke up sunday with a swollen upper eyelid. I applied cold compress and it seemed to help. Monday, woke up and it was still swollen. My friends said it looked like a stye, and to use warm compresses. Today the eyelid is slightly swollen , a little red and it itches now and then. Does it sound like a stye or could it be something else. How long to I contact my Dr?

it can be sty. getit examined by eye doctor it requeres epilation of eyelashes and apply neosporine ophthalmic eye ointment. clean the lid with sterile gauze further diagnosis can be done by eye doctor it can be foreign body in eyelid which can be removed by doctor. rule out blepharitis and kalazion.
