Does A Toddler's Preference Of Juice Over Plain Water Indicate Diabetes?

Hi my son is 21 months old, ever since he was little he has always sucked his bottles down and wanted another one right away, now he has been off bottles and is still doing it with sippy cups, he refuses water and will only drink juice(which i have been watering down now) He will want them constantly (if you give him water he will throw it across the room). I didnt think this was a problem until someone told me that is a sign of diabetes, i have been trying to cut him back and not give him as many. do i have him spoiled or do you think it is a sign of diabetes?

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi, thanks for asking.
I can understand your concerns.
No, preference for any food or juice does not indicate presence of diabetes. His preference of juices is not a sign of diabetes. Limit his juice intake and encourage him to drink more water.
I hope I have helped you
Thank you.
