Hi there, please i am just looking for a useful info and i am also in doubt. I just had an abortion four days ago and i was a month a two weeks gone, i am wondering if its possible for me to lactate. Cause it was just a month and two weeks. Your answer would be really helpful and i also need some advice. Thanks
Hello, Welcome to HCM and i would appreciate your question. I would like to tell you that lactation can start as early as 6 weeks of pregnancy, but its only scanty and not regular. You had undergone abortion after 6 weeks, so there is possibility that your breast can excrete very little quantity of milk and its absolutely normal, so you need not to worry much about it. It will definitely go away within few days and no need for any kind of treatment for this. But if large quantity of milk is secreted from breasts and it continues for more than 5 days, then you should consult a gynecologist and get yourself examined. sometimes prolactin levels fluctuate during pregnancy or abortion and it can lead to lactation. Feel free to ask any questions to me directly anytime, i will be obliged.
