Does A Yeast Infection Cause Burning Sensation And Pain In The Urethra?
I HAD A SEVERE BLADDER INFECTION AND WAS NEVER TOLD BY MY DOCTOR SO WAITED A WEEK BEFORE TAKING ANTIBIOTIC - i was in severe pain - urgency, frequency, stinging and burning constant. the doc gave me 750 mg of levaquin and it caused SEVERE pain and urgency. i have now been off for 5 days and still have urgency burning and stinging. urine showed no bacteria growth after levoquin. Could this be from a yeast infection now?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice. There is a possibility of yeast infection but you should do a uroculture and urine yeast test to verify it before starting medications. Hope I have answered your query.
