Does Abdominal Cramping And Spotting Indicate Ovarian Cyst?

My question is for the past 2 days I ve had lower abd cramping and spotting. No chance of pregnancy and my period was 2 weeks ago. The cramping is intermittent but then I had burning and cramping for a little while and now it s back to just cramping. Could it be an a ovarian cyst?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear
I understand your concern
It could be due to ovulation, hormonal imbalance, ovarian cyst, endometriosis, fibroid, excessive stress.
I would suggest to consult the gynecologist and undergo vaginal examination, reproductive hormone analysis, USG scan and ovarian follicle study to rule out the above cause.
Specific treatment will depend on the cause.
If it is due to ovulation then it will disappear in next 2-4 days.
Meanwhile take tablet meftal spas, proper rest, avoid stress, take healthy diet, do regular exercise like walking and yoga.
Hope this may help you
