Does Acute Conjunctivitis Cause Eye Soreness With A Change In Color?
Hi,I have a 3year old, who for the 1st time got infected with conjuvititis last year and received anti-biotics and eye ointment, she is in Nursery school and occasionally complains about her eyes been sore and her eyes have now turned a brownish colour for and have taken her to the doctor a few times and got treated for Pink eye. Does this brownish colour mean that her pink eye infection is now severe and with the right treatment will her eyes turn back to a white, milky colour. Stressed mum, Tebogo from Joburg.
It appears the child is resistant to antibiotic she is using. so a culture and sensitivity is recomanded from swab, trachcoma is also to be ruled out. with this the discoloration of conjunctiva will go,if not then second opi nion fro eye doctor may be taken.
