Does Adrenal Supplements Cause Dizziness And Complete Exhaustion?
I am a 54 year old woman in good health. I run and work out 6 days a week. I recently did a saliva test as well as blood tests. My hormones were off by a lot and my cortisol levels were all over the place. I started dr wilsons adrenal fatigue supplement protocol as well as bi esteogen and progesterone in the morning and melatonin and sedalyn at night. Over all I m swallowing over 20 pills every day. My symptoms since I started all of this is dizzy, lightheaded and complete exhaustion. Could it be the adrenal supplements, hormone pills or both? I d call the pharmacist but she would want a consultation at $125 an hour and I ve already spent close to $800 on tests, meds and consultations. I m broke for the month.

Low cortisol level is suggestive of a condition called adrenal insufficiency or Addison disease.Extreme fatigue or exhaustion is a characteristic symptom of Addison disease. At the other side,additional stress, caused by another illness or an accident, for example, may cause your symptoms to suddenly get worse. You may go on to develop: low blood pressure when you stand up, which can cause dizziness and light-headed.
So,in my opinion,your actual symptoms can be attributed to the adrenal fatigue. My advice is to consult as soon as possible your treating endocrinologist because your may need a dose adjustment of your corticosteroid pills. This is vital for your well being.
