Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Just like the gentleman posted I donate plasma twice a week for gas money that I desperately need not to mention I was amazed to see the actual uses of plasma and lives it saves so l will still donate when I get to a point financially I don t need it for the simple fact people s loves depend on it..! My question is my pulse rate has been 101-109 which I am not allowed to donate unless its under 100 and I would like to know if I take Advil the night before because I ve noticed when I go in the morning instead of the afternoon my pulse rate is always high but I don t like wasting half a day waiting fort pulse rate to slow down mid day any suggestions?
Regarding your concern, I would explain that the high heart rate could be related to low blood pressure (probably caused by the anemia).
I don't think that Advil will have any effects on your heart rate.
I would just recommend taking plenty of fluids and check your complete blood count for anemia. You may need to take iron supplements and other vitamins.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka,
Cardiologist
