Does Aging Cause Low Libido?

My husband is much older than me, and he has absolutely no interest in a sexual relationship with me any longer. We were the hottest couple for our whole married life. Everyone thought we had the perfect marriage, and we did!! I went through the change and now I m over it and back on track. Could his age have anything to do with it? I don t know what to think, but I am left needing so much more in my life. Any suggestions?

I can understand your concern for sexual desire. Generally there is no effect of age on sexual desire. But, in some males, due to reduction in testosterone level with increasing age, libido or sexual desire might reduce. Or it may be psychological in origin. You consult the physician or dermatologist who practices sexual medicine. I hope he may be improved with certain drugs and psychotherapy.
