Does Alcohol Consumption Affect The Kidneys?

My blood test revealed that my kidneys were not working properly. My doctor told me to stop taking some of my medications and to only take Tylenol for pain. What else can I do. Does drinking alcoholic beverages affect the kidneys? Are there certain foods I should avoid?

Hello,

You should completely quit drinking and smoking if you are doing. Should take a low salt diet, avoid eating tomatoes, spinach. Walk as much as you can.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Naira Jahangir, OB and GYN Specialist
