Does An Ayurvedic Treatment Have A Speedy Recovery For A Broken Rib?
hii my husband age is 45 n he had injured by bike slip accident .i wegot xray report of chest n according to that 5th rib has broken. doctor suggest him to used a rib belt towards 4th week. i want to know is any aurvedic lep availablable for this to cover soon thankx
* 1. As X-ray chest shows broken rib, probably he is suffering from 'pain of rib trauma' as such following recommendations are given:
. chest strapping/rib belt may be advised, but make sure not to use it too tightly in which case you’re not going to be able to breath as deeply, and may put you at risk for pneumonia.
. since it takes 6-8 weeks for the rib to heal, thus avoid heavy physical exertion to avoid tenderness and injury around the tissues. . you may take over-the-counter [OTC] pain medications like ibuprofennaproxen or acetaminophen to relieve the pain and inflammation. . Apply ice packs for ten minutes to relieve the pain and swelling. . Make sure you take good, deep breaths to keep your lungs expanded. and prevent pneumonia. . you may ask for 'dashang lep' which helps ease the inflammation after consulting an Ayurveda Physician there.
