Does An Elongated Cystic SOL Seen In Left Adnexa Closely Abutting The Left Ovary Require Immediate Treatment?
Respected Sir, I am 30 years old unmarried. I got ultra sound. In report it is written An elongated cystic SOL measuring 3.3x4.3x3.6 cm. in size is seen in left adenexa closely abutting the left ovary. A thin echogenic septum is seen. Ovary reveals normal parenchyma with tiny follicles. I want to know what it all means. Is it serious ? Soon I am going to marry is there be difficulty in married life?
Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic. I can understand your concern. I have gone through the ultrasound report you have mentioned. It says that you are having cystic mass like lesion besides ovary. Your ovaries are normal. So possibility of benign ovarian cyst is more likely. If you are asymptomatic then nothing should be done. Get done ultrasound report annually and compare the size of cyst. In majority of cases size remains same or decreasing. But if size is increasing then surgical removal is the treatment of choice. No need to worry for married life as it won't cause any problems. Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
