Does An Iodine Supplement Cause Itchy Red Rashes On The Face?

After using an iodine supplement for a couple of months I have broke out with a red, itchy rash on my face. Most people say it looks a lot like sunburn. Not sure if it is more like an allergic reaction or more like I am super sensitive to the sun. What do you think?

Hi,

It seems to be contact dermatitis and best therapy for this is to apply some soothing agent, along with diphenhydramine and stay away from the causative agents, it is self limiting condition only thing is no further contact should be there and care need to be taken for secondary infection or opportunistic infection.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards
