I have ecoli in my urian I took macrobid nly one and my face turned red and i felt like i had pin in my legs and arms. I went to er and told me to take antahistmene I have a problem with antahistmine. I took enough for a baby and later my heart started to pound, I took 5ml and did better. that was thursday and today is say and I have a loose stomach
Yes, antihistamines can cause dryness of mouth, increased heart beats, blurring of the vision, constipation and retention of urine. Based on the history you seem to have developed allergic reaction and stomach upset apparently caused by the antibiotic macrobid. Stop taking macrobid and ask your doctor for an alternate effective but a safer medication to treat urine infection.
