Hello and welcome,
Please do not worry so much. An
anterior placenta is not an issue. However it is close to the cervix. This condition is called placenta preavia. In most cases, the lower part of the uterus grows more than the upper one and so the placenta moves away from the cervix. This can be seen on repeat
ultrasound at 36 weeks. However, if it persists then it may cause bleeding in a few cases. So discuss this in detail with your doctor. As of now, there is no worry if there is no bleeding.
About the dilatation of the kidney: This is not uncommon and occurs due to pressure of the pregnant uterus on the
ureter [ pipe carrying urine from kidney to the
urinary bladder. It gets relieved spontaneously after delivery. So it is not a serious issue. Try to sleep on one side so as to relieve pressure of uterus on the structures behind it.
So do not worry. Wish you a happy
pregnancy.
Hope this satisfies your query.
Thanks for using HCM.
