Does Antibiotics Prescribed For Sinus Infection Reduce The Swollen Nodes?
My occipital lymph node hurts. Atleast that s what I think it is. Makes my back teeth hurt and my eyes. Plus i have a little bump with a pulse on the back of my head. I was prescribed antibiotics to fight a sinus infection but didn t get the swollen node till a few days after taking it. Is this normal? Also I there was mold found in the water at work. Could that have caused my infection?
Hello, There is no concern if lymph nodes swell while your body is fighting an infection. This is part of the healing process. Your doctor made a diagnosis in order to prescribe the correct antibiotic to eliminate your infection. Make sure you report all symptoms to your doctor and monitor changes to update your doctor as well. What information do you have on the mold? What type of exposure did you have? Respiratory disorders can definitely be caused by mold exposure. If your symptoms worsen or do not respond to your current medication, you may need additional diagnostic tests to determine additional treatment. Finish your prescribed medication at the proper intervals and dosage. Most of the time, you can take antiinflammitory medication such as Tylenol or Advil while on an antibiotic to offer additional relief. Check with your doctor. Thank you for your inquiry.
