Does Antihistamine Help To Treat Swelling And Puffiness Under Eyes?
My daughter that is 2 years old got bit by a mosquito under her eye. It started to get all puffy but the puffyness dont appear to be that bad. It just comes up to the bottom of where the color in her eye starts. Maybe just a little over the color in her eye. So should I take her into ER or should I just give her an antihistamine and see if the swelling/puffyness comes down?
First wash the eye with clean water.Apply cromal eye drop 3times a day If swelling persists then give levo cetrizine suspension one t sf 8hourly. I hope your daughter will improve or else get her checked by eye doctor.
Hi Normally such a swelling should come down within a few days. Lying on that side may delay the things. Anti histaminic should be of help and one may give for a few days. All the best.
