Does Appendix Removal Surgery Cause Rectal Blockage?

Hi. Am 15 and i had my appendix removed 3_4 weeks ago. It seems like my rectum is blocked but the thing is that my stool colour is also good and my stool is not much watery and much hard. Also i had an ct scan and anema was squirted into my butt. Is it because of that or anything else?

Hi,Dear,Thanks for your query to HCM.
Dear I read facts of your query and reviewed it in context to your query health issues.
I understood your health concerns and feel Concerned about them.

Based on the facts of your query the reply of your query is-
Seems to be functional Constipation-from poor intake in post-op period.

Other causes need to be ruled like undiagnosed and and dehydration in post operative recovery period etc.

Do's -suggested for your case-
Liquid and semisolid Bland / non spicy / non-fried diet with Low solids and high liquids would recoup you more from Constipation /or rectal blockage.
Tab Vit B12 / Folic acid to improve the recovery of intestinal /colonic mucous to recoup the functioning fast in post-operative period.

High fiber diet x regularly
Plenty of fluids x regularly
Tab Zincovit +Vit B12 would recoup the inflamed colonic and intestinal mucosa of the accompanied IBS.

Stool analysis Test and review with GI-Surgeon would be needed if no recovery with initial treatment given to rule out fissure in ano / Proctitis and other causes of it.

Just don't worry and be patient and co-operate with your doctors, till you verify with your attending doctors.
Need to Check with Physician / GI-Surgeon if things don't recover.

-Other causes need to be verified with your family GP doctor and team of Specialist doctors, as the facts may be different what you submitted.

-For this Second opinion from PCP-or Gp doctor and if need be with GI- Surgical- specialist-is needed who would do proper investigation after proper physical assessment to resolve your health issues.
-for early recovery-please follow above do's which would resolve your complex health issues.

Hope this would help you to treat your health issues in the best way possible.

Welcome for any further query in this regard.
Good Day!!
