Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Does Asthma, Diarrhea And Fever Indicates Pneumonia?
My daughter is 4 years old and she has a cough that will not go way she does have diaherria and she has has it for a week now, she also has astma but when I take her off her astma machine her cough gets worse, I m worried she may have pneumonia she also has been running a fever but the fever is gone now
The symptoms of your daughter seem to be related to an upper respiratory tract infection. A physical examination and an X-ray is needed to exclude pneumonia.
Meanwhile, I recommend using anti-fever mediation such as Acetominophen to relieve the fever. I also recommend using a daily probiotics to prevent diarrhoea.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
